It's gray and damp in Washington this morning, but there is warmth in the air. Fireworks and cheering kept me up a little while last night. Today, the feeling of excitement is undeniable. R and I had coffee together this morning, something we never manage to make time for before work. We sat together, talked about this milestone we never thought we'd see. We watched Obama's acceptance speech on my laptop, and were moved by his words and the spectacle of it all. It feels like a new era, for better and for worse, but hope is truly alive again.See you in January, loves.
